My bf watched the BBC mini series with me

He agreed to watch Pride & Prejudice with me so I put on the series. Now my boyfriend is a gaming nerd and the second Darcy was introduced he started comparing him to Shadow from the Sonic games. I truly hate how accurate that is (I watched the Sonic movies with him) and how funny it was having him reenact what Darcy said but in Shadow’s flair.

He also yelled at the screen when Darcy abruptly left Elizabeth once she told him about Lydia. He was so mad that Darcy wasn’t comforting her, but he forgave him once the scene with Darcy in London took place.

I think his biggest gripe with show though was that the Bennet estate was entailed to Mr. Collins. He kept trying to find loopholes such as son-in-laws and grandsons. He was not happy when I said the loopholes wouldn’t work.

On a side note we had had a fight before we binged the show and he bought me a card and wrote in it that he would try to be more like Darcy and reflect and improve on himself. Which was super sweet and definitely took some of the anger away.
