What's one wrestler/Team in AEW that you didn't click with you but changed after 1 match?

So we all have that one wrestler or wrestlers who we didn't like at first or just never clicked. But of course as time goes & opinions change we all begin to like a wrestler especially after 1 match or so.

So I would want to know what wrestler or wrestlers didn't click for you at first but then that 1 specific class changed your mind.

My Pick:

Gates of Agony is a team I just didn't like nor see any positives with at all. But I'd say after seeing GOA vs the Hurt Syndicate after they joined the Demand. I think GOA found what makes them standout & I now enjoy them and I hope they get more opportunities to tag or Trios gold.

What do you think would have to cut down or changed in order for the women's division to get more time?

Not trying to have an argument. I'm just curious what people think would need to cut down or change in order for the women's division to get more time in AEW?

AEW has been around since 2019 and one of the biggest complaints in the women's division not being given the same amount of focus as the men's division. The women's roster has increased in size & there were some improvements but still the issues are still there. Especially looking at the current lack of direction for all the women's champions.

Now what do you think would need to change.

My Picks:

  1. Cut down on two of the men's titles(National & Continental). Cut down on those two and continue the hot streak of making the world title be the main target & the two other main titles with the TNT & International in the mix.
  2. Cut down on certain match times on TV & PPV. Certain main event matches unless the story requires it doesn't need to go over 30 minutes on PPV. As for TV cut down on some multi-man match times.
  3. Make some feuds stay on TV. What I mean is Ricochet vs Jericho isn't a feud that needs to continue onto ppv. They had the one match on ppv. They can have it end on TV. While the women get the time a Jericho match gets on PPV.

What do you hope will be added to the Double or Nothing card?

So right now we have a couple more shows before we head into Double or Nothing. And so far we have some moving parts in certain stories confirm the matches for the ppv.

Confirmed:

Okada vs Takeshita

FTR vs Cope/Christian

Teased/Potential Matches:

Swerve vs Bandido

Stadium Stampede Demand vs Jericho & his allies

Mjf vs Darby

So right now we still have no idea who is going to be challenging for all the women's champions since they have no distinct stories. And Kevin Knight just lost to Darby and doesn't have a feud currently atm.

My hopes:

TNT Title: Kevin Knight vs Ciampa

Samoa Joe vs Ospreay

Thekla vs someone not in the Brawling Birds

Willow vs Athena

Of all the current New Gen in New Japan. Who would you say have the best presentation currently?

Wrestling Dontaku has passed now & next up is BOSJ then Dominion. So far from this year, who of the New Gen would you say has the best presentation currently.

For me the ones with the best presentation that fits there characters and style right now are KOB & Callum Newman.

EDIT: How can I forget Fujita who certainly has the heat presentation out of the Junior Division.

One thing about AEW main event scene that is giving it a big upside is the building of Credibility for the talent involved & the booking of their win/lost record.

A strong example of this is next week's Dynamite with Darby vs Okada. Darby's about to join the small list of talent who will probably beat Kazuchika Okada since joining AEW.

Okada in NJPW was the Ace of the promotion. And he was protected like a Top Guy. He would take at minimum 2-4 matches per year.Since joining AEW that hasn't changed as he's been pretty protected still. In terms of booking let's look at the amount of times he's lost in singles.

2024: Twice(Lost to Fletcher & Danielson)

2025: Three Times( Lost to Fletcher, Knight, & Moxley)

2026: No loses in Singles so far.

Okada as a character & as a wrestler has always felt like a guy that whoever is at the top will eventually have to fight him for the top spot. The last time Okada challenged he only lost due to a distraction of sorts from the Death Riders in 2024.

This will be his second time challenging. I can certainly see where he's close to winning but Takeshita(who needs to look strong) stops him making Okada angry & laser focused on Takeshita.

And right now where also seeing mini-feuds with Bandido vs Swerve where both need a couple of singles wins under there belt to get back to the world title picture.

Last nights 3 Hour show has passed. And for me I'd say it was a mixed bag.

All the matches except Darby vs Knight(Which ruled) was solid to good but not something I'd go to rewatch very soon. We've seen from previous 3 Hour specials how the shows are.

To me I don't think a 3 hour show format works for AEW. The flow of the show feels off and it feels like they did a lot but not enough to say a ton of stories were progressing in that 3 hour span.

For example, Okada vs Takeshita was announced pretty early & over the span of 3 weeks they haven't really done anything to kick the tension into higher gear. We had a opportunity to do something creative but nothing really happened last night over the course of a 3 hour show.

So I ask are you more positive on the 3 hour shows do you just watch the 2 hours and then turn it off?

After recent news in the wrestling world & looking at last nights 10 man tag match on Collinson. The tag division has a ton of talent in the mix. But just not every team can been showcased or have a story to sink into.

What if we get a tag tournament starting around Jan ending early February with 2 Blocks 12 teams meaning 6 teams in both blocks. And the winners get a shot at the AEW world tag titles at Revolution.

We've seen from the C2 tournament in AEW how each match matters for everyone involved but you see shift in certain talents characters & dynamics in each match. And of course build credibility for teams to move upward in the Hierarchy of the division. And make the tag titles a highly demanding title.
