Pressure to marry in my congregation
I don't know if this is only happening in my congregation, but I wanted to share it
Recently, there has been a lot of pressure put on the young adults in my congregation, beside the pressure to volunteer more, there been also a weird pressure on marriage
We have had 4 public talks about marriage in the last 2 months, and a lot of my friends (girls) are also getting a lot of talks about how beautiful and fulfilling marriage is
My suspicious is that this is all thanks to the congregation stalling in growth, it's been probably years since someone actually became a JW thanks to preaching, and there has not been a new born-in in like 2 years, My congregation is basically slowly dying at this point, so maybe they are hoping to revive it or something pressuring the young adults to marry and have kids?
My mom even questioned why I haven't shown interest in any of the boys in my congregation and when do I plan to marry and all that bullshit
Anyone congregation doing the same?
