Suncor sucks (in response to pics of the smoke/fire)

Suncor is the major oil refinery causing the huge smoke plumes today.

While you might not always see the pollution, these guys are damaging our air and water every day. And they’re ESPECIALLY messing with Commerce City and GES (globeville elyria swansea).

I made a zine about them recently if you wanna get more mad! Check out orgs like the GES coalition, Cultivando, Womxn from the Mtn, to learn more about Suncor and the many injustices they bring to our communities and planet.

They’re whack and nasty 🤮

This Monday: Do you like Biking and dislike unregulated data center development? I've got a morning activity for you!

Hi! Do you like biking and want guardrails for data centers? You are in LUCK because a group of us (including the Sierra Club, where I work) are hosting a somewhat spontaneous morning bike parade around the Capitol this coming Monday morning in support of SB26-102. This bill would establish some crucial regulations for data centers to protect our people and the environment.

The state bill that would have given huge handouts to Big Tech was killed but we still need to enact protections!

The weather is looking gloomier tomorrow so our Craftivist team decided to move to an indoor location. Luckily our Denver Public Libraries are kickass and had community rooms available to reserve.

So join us at the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library tomorrow anytime 5:30-8 PM!
