As a Catholic I obviously was taught from a very early age about Heaven and Hell, with Hell being a place immense pain and suffering. Thinking about this, burning in a lake of fire or being torchered, I was wondering, if when we die our soul leaves our body, how does it feel human pain? If we leave our bodies, we are only a soul that doesn't have any physical feel factors ( I'm talking about feeling hot or cold, sore, muscle ache, etc). So how is our soul actually tourchered by fire or physical beatings?
