Enjoying the evening sun
Glorious evening walk through the meadow and down by the river. Saw a heron too. Look how the sun illuminated his fur. A glorious day to be alive.
I don't know that there was ever a door here?
There is something missing from the frame so maybe there was. This is the remains of the 18th century Icehouse built into the hill behind Dumbleton Hall, now a hotel in Dumbleton on the edge of the Cotswolds. They must have sealed it somehow to stop the ice melting in warmer months. Incidentally, the hotel has just reopened after a £25m 2 year refurb. At one point if I recall correctly, it was owned by the Post Office as a holiday venue for staff.

What was the first thing you ate today? I had cottage cheese and pineapple.
Here is my 13.5 year old basking on the bed. She had a really rough year last year and I thought she was coming to an end but she has rallied, put on weight, gorgeous glossy fur and is absolutely sassy. She is a joy and I am so grateful for this second lease of life.
