Minor setback with Kinger’s eyes. After applying the glossy coating to one of the eyes and letting it dry overnight, I noticed that the paint had run, and started to look like purple eye streaks. It wouldn’t be too bad, but it looks like the glossy coat ate some of the styrofoam of the eye, so it no longer looks good to me. So I will need to pick up a second ball to replace and paint. The other eye looks fine, so I won’t bother putting a glossy coating on that one.

I also found the ring I had put around the middle of the head had popped off, so I will have to reattach it once the paint is dried.

I wasn't sure if I would get to painting Kinger tonight, but I did. He now has a coat of black spray paint on him and is drying for the next couple of days. I won't have a chance to do more until the weekend.

I finished painting his eyes as well. They’ll be getting a coat of clear glossy acrylic to help give the shiny look they have in the show. I’ll add some red lines for the veins he normally has.

I also fixed Omega Supreme’s head cannon. I have to repaint a few spots on his helmet when I get a chance.

The cross has now been glued into place as has the ring. I have painted the blue part of the irises and put a layer of scotch tape around the top of the head to help hide the small holes in the foam. It's time to let the parts dry and then the next step will be painting some light white bits in his eyes, and then spray painting the first layer of paint on Kinger. I’ll need to get a fan in the tool room for when I do to help keep the air circulating. When I spray-painted my Halloween decoration last year, having the fan on helped a lot. Since this costume is so soft, I think using a paintbrush would be challenging, so spray painting will be what I do.

Kinger’s coming together. The bottom and top halves are now taped together and the cross has been cut. Its not actually attached yet because I noticed that the edges of the two crosses were not fully glued, so it's going to be squeezed together overnight.

I painted the black for the eyes. I used an empty packing tape roll to help keep the paint inside of the circle. I have a smaller roll from a first aid kit that I will use for painting the pupils. I will paint a layer of blue and white paint for the irises and then paint the pupils with the roll as a guide.

The eye mesh is in place and the ring just below Kinger’s left eye is taped in place. I need to get more glue for the ring. I think that I should be able to start painting it on the weekend if time permits.

I had some time today, so i was able to glue the base to the head. I found a thinner noodle for the base, so I bought it yesterday and cut it down. I also found a foam rope that i think is perfect for filling in
