I have about four bags of spawn growing (or less depending on whether they are contaminated, I'll see), but I would like to maximize yield with multiple flushes when spawning to bulk coco coir. Time isn't an issue for me, and neither are materials.

What is the lowest spawn to bulk substrate ratio that you all have used? Should I just make four smaller tubs (I was planning to use 6 qt containers), or would it be best to use multiple bags per container?

I've even heard that you can spawn to bulk and add more substate later, but with contamination this seems risky.
