Swelling in feet
So my mom with dementia has had some swelling in one or both ankles/feet, and also her right hand. This is not a new thing and I am aware this can be indicative of CHF but her dr said it wasn’t edema, just swollen. And her last EKG showed a strong heart. But I’m wondering if she’s in pain or if this makes it hard for her to walk. She seems less mobile lately.
Today, when I press on the skin, it feels squishy like dough. I noticed her legs and feet are cold and she also sleeps on her right side all the time. Obviously, there’s a lack of circulation there. And I was wondering if lymphatic drainage massage could help this? If so, does US insurance cover it? Thank you.
