Hello, I’m looking for some guidance. My husband is from Ukraine and applied for TPS in 2024, which is still pending. He has previously been able to renew his Florida driver’s license using his TPS receipt notice without any issues.
However, today (4/20/26), the DMV refused to renew his license and stated that he now needs a receipt notice from 2025. This is the first time we’ve heard of such a requirement, and it caught us completely off guard.
Has anyone experienced this recently or can clarify if there has been a policy change in Florida regarding TPS and driver’s license renewals? I’m concerned this information may not be accurate.
We are based in Florida. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
