In a double pivot of DMs is it better to have 1 pressing both pressing or neither pressing?

I’m 8 games into the championship season 4 wins 2 draws 2 losses my last 2 losses have been in a row which were a 4-0 loss to Oxford away and a 3-1 to Leicester away the Oxford game was mainly individual errors leading to the loss with my keeper having a 5.8 but Leicester did outplay me before hand I was coming off 3-1 (QPR) and (6-1 Cardiff) wins is this just a case of FM/championship unpredictability?

I’ve been trying to test and learn how this game works on a test save where I try out different tactics in the same match to see what I’m going rightj and wrong but it’s leaving me confused how do I sim the same match with the same players 3 times and get W a D and a L I switched to slightly different set up and had the same thing is there just an element of randomness that you cant account for and that’s why this doesn’t work?

This is the set up I played for a majority of this season I am able to score really well but I also concede plenty of goals my keeper always drops 6.6 and lower ratings I did switch to a 442 with cisse as the second striker on deep lying forward and switched to 2 Dms with one being a box to box midfielder and the other just a dm in possession dropping rigo dropped my line and get rid of high press which did help with results but then my from went back to the problems I had before is the anything that stands out which needs major changing or any advice?

May be a dumb question and the answer is just play more but I know some games watching people is the best way to get better and learn I feel like I’m pretty okay at the game I can build solid tactics but when someone goes wrong I struggle to find the cause of the problem and I’m stuck with constant trial an error with my team which leads to a season collapse and finishing below where i probably should

So I am a few seasons into my championship save with stoke and I made playoffs last year during late November to December I tweaked to the picture above and went on an incredible run about 10 game unbeaten run with 8 wins in a row and in about 3 months I only really lost it the top 2 teams in the league then suddenly my tactics stopped working started conceding more goals attack got a bit less clinical most notably my keepers would drop consistent poor performances I went through both my keepers and signed a new one and nothing changed I went from nailed on 2nd to finishing in playoffs last game of season and losing 4-0 in play off semis and started the next season relatively poor is there anything in my tactics that are causing major issues sorry for no filled in players it’s on my mates online save so I don’t have access atm any help would be appreciated I understand it’s a lot of words
