JBL TOUR ONE M2 "rebirth"
For anyone who might find this helpful, I know I'm late to the party, but if I can share my experience and it helps someone, that will be more than enough.
I recently bought some JBL Tour One M2 headphones, and to the surprise of no one (who knows the history of these headphones), they didn't live up to my expectations. I had already considered alternatives to JBL before buying them, but having tried the JBL 770 NC headphones completely sealed the deal, as they meshed exceptionally well with the music I listen to (metal and electronic) thanks to the deep bass the brand is known for.
Now, back to the problem: I'd been using them for a month and still felt they weren't enough, even after several attempts at equalization and using external programs. I had given up, until... looking for help, I reset my headphones to factory settings (by pressing the volume + and - buttons simultaneously for a few seconds). And with the equalization settings: 32Hz - 2, 64Hz - 3, 125Hz - 2, 250Hz - 0, 500Hz - -2, 1kHz - -1, 2kHz - 0, 4kHz - 1, 8kHz - 1, and 16kHz - 1.
After this, I felt like my headphones came back to life, and I could once again experience those sensual bass sounds that made me choose this brand. I've regained my trust in these headphones as the best for my music, allowing me to enjoy it the way I like.
Now, some final notes: The volume is still low for the average, but in my opinion, it reaches just under 100, so I don't have any problems. I haven't reactivated Persona-fi; I felt it reduced the volume. I have Smart Audio and Video enabled in music mode. I didn't activate spatial sound (it's rubbish). The volume limiter is quite good, as are all the other functions.
Thanks for your attention, and I hope this is helpful to someone.
