My cat's claw has been fully exposed for over 2 months now, even the pink part(quick) which i am pretty sure should not be. I called the vet when i noticed it 2 months ago, he cut the nail and said the claw will retract. It hasnt since, it looks the same, i sent a picture to him and he said i should just cut it again, but i dont think this is normal. When i touch it he doesnt move his paw away, so i dont think its painful for him. Should i contact another vet?

Edit: I meant the pink sheath at the base, not the quick.
