This is my current set up: a 7 string Ibanez Gio with a Dimarzio paf-7 humbucker added to the bridge position, a Fender Champion 100, and a Boss Katana 50 MK II.

Based on my research the 3 main things needed seem to be a 7 string guitar, a high gain amp like a Mesa Boogie and a pedal setup. I already have a 7 string, however Mesa Boogie double and triple rectifiers cost an arm and a leg (even used) and as far as pedals I have read recommendations spanning everything from an Ibanez Ts9 tube screamer, Ibanez FZ7, Bossg MT-2 metal zone, EHX Big Muff for fuzz, EHX Electric Mistress for flanger/ modulation, a Digitech XP-100 Whammy for pitch, Joyo Ca pedal, an Octave pedal, a Chorus pedal, a noise gate and more..

As you can see there's a ton of recommended options and one person couldn't possibly dream of getting everything. Not to mention I don't even know what half of those pedals do or the best way to set them up. So my question is if I had to focus on getting one amp or one or two pedals what would get me closest to the tone I'm seeking? If it helps I'm trying to get a set up that can emulate guitar tones of songs like "Adidas", "Attitude" by Sepeltura, or "Break Stuff" by Limp Bizkit.

So far based on my current info, I'm leaning towards getting a Joyo Ca pedal which I guess emulates Mesa Boogie amps, and maybe a Ts9 tube screamer or a Digitech Whammy pedal. I've read the Digitech Whammy is legendary but it's also pricey and as you can see the prices can add up quick. The Peavey 5150 or Peavey Bandit seem like they could be valid options if I'm going for an amp and furthermore I read the Boss Me-80 could be a versatile, cost effective, alternative to also get Korn's tones, but I'm not even sure what it does or how it works. I'm new to the world of pedals and Equalizers so please explain it to like I'm a 5 year old because right now I feel a bit confused and convoluted with all the options and explanations. With that being said I'm a quick, visual learner so if anyone could clarify my understanding I'd appreciate it. I just need solid, basic suggestions without sending me me down another rabbit hole. Thanks!
