Hey fine watch people!

Been looking for a classy gold-coulored vintage piece for a while, and this one caught my eye.

Owner writes that's its gold on steel, has a "roulette" date which he claims is rare, and dates it to 1959 based on the serial number. He also states that it was serviced a few years ago, and that it has been polished since some of the gold has "faded away".

Can anyone comment on the authenticity of this piece and the info provided? Is the red date rare?

And he has this listed for about 1300usd, is that a fair price?
