I think I have to sell my prelude. This sucks.

I think I have to sell my prelude. This sucks.

Recently my timing belt snapped while driving it.(didn’t make any guttural noises, just heard the belt snap and that was it. Didn’t grind or make any horrible noises when I tried to start it up) took it to a shop and they said that my valves were bent because they preformed a leak down test. (Didn’t say how much percent was leaking) they suggested replacing the entire engine would be cheaper and safer than just replacing the timing belt because there could be other problems we can’t see and it could be a waste of money to replace the timing belt.

Unfortunately there’s no way I could afford a $4500 engine and afford the cost of labor. I can find a cylinder head for about 600 bucks but then there’s still the risk of there being bottom end damage.

I really don’t want to sell my car but I think I have to at this point I just can’t financially keep feeding this endless money pit. I just know I’ll regret it so much if I sell it but I need a car to be able to get to work and etc. Guess it’s my fault for making this my daily driver and not taking care of it enough.
