I been fishing since I was a kid. My dad took me out to the same spot on the lake every Saturday morning for years.

Heres the thing about fishing that took me decades to understand. The waiting is not the problem. The waiting is the whole point.

When I started trading I thought I needed to be doing something all the time. Watching charts, clicking buttons, feeling busy. Felt like if I wasnt active I was missing out.

Then I thought about all those mornings on the water. Sitting there with my line in, not catching anything for hours sometimes. And it never bothered me. I wasnt bored. I was just waiting for the right moment.

Trading is the same way if you let it be.

The fish dont show up because you want them to. The setup doesnt appear because youre impatient. You wait, you watch, and when the conditions are right you act.

Took me way too long to connect those two things. I was patient on the water my whole life but couldnt sit still in front of a chart for twenty minutes without doing something stupid.

Now when I feel that itch to take a bad trade I think about sitting in that boat with my dad. Nothing happening. Just waiting for the right bite.

Thats it. Nothing fancy. But it helped me more than most of the stuff I read online.
