I have a mid-2012 Macbook 13 that was gonna get trashed, so I swooped in and got it free. It's a dual core Intel Core i5 and has 4 gigs of ram. I initially used OCLP to put sequoia on it, but it was running slow. I ended using OCLP to put Sonoma 14.8.4, and it was running smoothly. I installed some music programs and vst plugins, nothing too strenuous, and was using it as a mobile production computer. It was working really well. I didn't use it for a month or so, and now, when I turn it on, the trackpad and keyboard don't work. It's super sluggish, and the activity monitor has it at between 89 and 96 percent CPU load, even at idle. My question is, what could be causing this? Is it OCLP? Can I fix it? Or do i have to start all over and step down to Ventura and re-install everything, which I would like to avoid if at all possible. Thank you so much.
