Hey guys, we just had a collapsed pipe under our front lawn leading out to the sewer system. Our lawn was excavated and then the pipe was replaced. They were clearing out debris and found the pipe beyond my front yard was offset and hanging on by a rubber gasket/seal.
The company said they’ll likely have to excavate the street to get to the pipe to fix the offset.
Considering they just excavated, is this something that will be considered part of the same project and thus slightly discounted and not like double the original price? What ballpark of cost is this likely to be?
I’m going to call other companies to get quotes tomorrow cause I suspect they’ll give me a quote of even more than the original excavation job which we will want to avoid unless it’s the last resort.
