I had an idea with potion since it seems weak in single battles. But my idea might make it far too good for the standard bracket.
What if splashing themselves with their concoction, not only increased their damage, but also increased their rate of scaling.
Like, if they normally deal 1 damage, and stepping into that potion adds 1 to turn into a 2, the next adds 2 to make it 4 and the next adds 3 for 7 etc.
Though, to make it distinct from balls like Fibonacci or essentially Sword², it could only add to scaling if they step into their potion, and only add damage when their hit their enemy. Also adds some randomness to the battle unlike Sword's 14 hit rule.
Curious on what your thoughts are to balance it in a unique way.
