I have had 3 deceased Figeater beetles in my freezer for almost a decade. One from about 9 years ago, another from 7 or 8 years ago, and another from about 6 years ago but they’re all on the same container. I had found each of them deceased in a different location and they are my favorite insect so I kept them. Now I have finally decided I would like to put them in resin so I can have them be visible in my home but I’m worried that freezing them may have been the wrong option, or freezing them this long.

Would anyone with experience encasing beetles in resin be able to inform me of the next best steps?

Would I want to dry them out with alcohol first or would that mess them up? Thank you in advance!
