Anyone own $1,000,$5,000,$20,000 watches and have an opinion of the percent value you’re getting at $200 with an NH35 movement or similar? I am considering a seiko presage cocktail or a Tudor 1926 and am curious how much better either are at $400 and $2500 than a Chinese brand in the $200 range.

I own the pictured Milifortic Alpinist homage (S089) and today went to look at real alpinists. For $1000 I saw rattle in the compass bezel and a loose bezel crown. The finishing with the edges was much better, but otherwise what is an additional $800 getting me?

Please give me your thoughts, especially if you own expensive watches also. Looking for something for my wedding, and I just struggle with understanding do I really get anything by spending $1000+
