Decided last year to burn a team down immediately after drafting it. Main priority was to keep my QBs as I didnt want to do dart throws on those and waste 1st round picks.
League is 12 Team SF .5 TEP
Free Agent Targets
Koziol, Cyrus Allen, Caldwell, Bryce Lance, Zavion
So how did I do?
Few thoughts on draft
- Shocked Lemon and Cooper fell to me. Another player had 5 picks in the first round and he chose KC and Boston as two of those picks.
- Didn’t have a need for Stowers but he was BPA
- Really wanted to load up on WR this draft with the intent to get a good RB next year as I think most of the RBs this year are trap picks. Threw a lot of darts out there for WR, there is a world where I could have traded more picks to draft Williams and Germie in the early 2nd as well but I decided not to try and just throw more darts. I’m both a Chiefs and Nebraska fan so Emmet was a bit of an exception. Stribling fell to me, I think I could have waited longer to pick him but it’s always a gamble. My rule is always use a mid/late 2nd for him and never an early 2nd since often times you can get him later including early 3rd. I’ve never seen him go later than early 3rd because I always make a move for him if he is still there.
- I got greedy with my last two picks, ball knowledge seemed kinda low during draft so I thought I could get guys like Joly etc in free agency but basically the players that I had their first three picks made great picks with their lone 4th round picks. Not that high on Brennen and Randall but there is some upside for both I guess.
- Went BPA for round 1. Round 2 I prioritized things like landing spot, and draft capital. Round 3+ went with upside.
