I'm asking this in the event let's say online-fix has a page for the game released, but the version they have isn't up to date anymore. If I'm able to find a more up to date version of the game on csrnru, can I simply apply the generic online fix files on my game? Has anyone tried this?

I'm asking because Species: Unknown on online fix isn't the latest version, but I've requested the CSF files for the new build on csrn and someone has posted it. I'm thinking of applying the crack, and then applying the online fix files.
