OK, so I figured out that the reason I have been feeling so tired is because the Meniere's disease is sending signals in the background. What I mean is is that my left ear, even though attacks have stopped, still sends signals to my brain that I am moving (the floor moves). I figured this out since starting Amiloride (diuretic) to combine with hydrochlorothiazide. It reduced some of the pressure in my ear and gave me back a ton of energy. Extremely similar to taking a round of intratympanic steroid shots. The floor is moving less.
My Meniere's disease seems to be implicated with immune system and inflammation. But, Amiloride has not stopped my ear from sending signals completely. I still feel the floor moves a little bit but much less than before.
So, I was thinking of doing Gentamicin shot to kill the ear and kill all the signals as well. I know that SPI-1005 is around the corner but I am already on too many medications already and have Multiple Sclerosis and it seems that ebselen might be a contraindication in Multiple Sclerosis. Plus, both handle inflammation in different ways so they might interact in unknown ways as of right now.
Is my logic sound? Is it a good idea? I will relapse soon anyways and I doubt I'm willing to do another round of 5 intratympanic shots. I wonder if killing my balance system on my left ear will give me fatigue since my right ear will now carry all of the weight in balancing.
I guess I'll find out eventually but for those of you who have had gentamicin, while having the other ear not have Meniere's disease, did your energy levels come back?
