Took my 4-year-old to NYC for the first time — here's what actually worked (and what didn't

So we just got back from 4 days in New York with my daughter Emma and I wanted to share some honest notes because most posts I found before going were either too vague or clearly written by people without kids lol (or totally delusional if you go on some socials medias)

What worked:

Staying in Midtown (annoying for locals I know, but the logistics with a stroller were SO much easier) The Natural History Museum — she was obsessed for 3 hours straight Eating dinner at 5:30pm like absolute tourists, zero regrets

What didn't:

Trying to do the High Line on a Saturday. Just... no. The hotel "kids amenity" was literally a coloring book. Thanks I guess.

Happy to answer questions if anyone's planning the same trip!
