Might be a dumb question but I'm trying to turn him into a mii on tomodachi life ltd and the more I search on Google the more I get confused 💔

Right after petting a mii's head it immediately crashes right after, anyone know if there's a fix to this ? I can't make any progress on my island since petting a mii is part of the first steps to creating the island
