This has been an ongoing issue the whole school year. To my knowledge, my son acts like a cat and I’ve seen him swat at people like he’s a cat. This whole time I’ve heard that my son is hitting this is what I envisioned him doing. This morning my neighbor asked to call and chat, she said she witnessed my six-year-old push her two-year-old and my three-year-old off the trampoline. When she talked to my son she told him that was unacceptable and his response was I can do what I want.
My husband and I go back-and-forth on whether we should spank our children. The millennial in me says we need to but then the parent in me says how condescending is it to tell a child not to hit but his punishment is to be hit. What is everyone else’s feedback on this scenario?
