Why did no one tell me about the survivalist

For years I have seen clips, references, commentary on the coveted Joshua Graham (for good reasons).

After 15 years I'm finally making my way through 'Zion' and my expectations are being met with the character interactions, earlier Fallout references etc.

I mainly began the dlc for the cool desert combat armor and immediately beelined it to the cave when I first arrived.

What I wasn't expecting was that I was going to get a combination of 'Most Dangerous Game's merged with 'The Road.'

Fallout references and humour is dark yet often light hearted gallows humour but these journal accounts are bleak.

Cannibalism, suicidal ideation, breech birth, revenge etc.

Through it all this man keeps living despite wanting to die as 'the body has its own drive.'

Even in the end, when it's most bleak, he "wished them well" (the future children of New Zion) and got to spend his final moments at peace which in the post apocalyptic world is a blessing.

This is the only time I have truly felt 'emotional' (yet) from this game and I am surprised it wasn't brought up before when I've researched this dlc.
