A player in my next game has a very specific concept to fill, the animist is ideal to fulfill it, except for the spell tradition. I'm considering swapping the Divine tradition for the Elemental. I'm not thinking about allowing them to pick te archetype. Just outright swapping.

Would you consider I'm giving too much power?

I'm taking power from that class?

Or the lists even out themselves?

As of the remasters, athletic skills added a very neat sidebar for free-handers:

"Multiple Attacks with Athletics(At the very bottom)

Several Athletics actions have the attack trait, meaning that using them more than once in the same turn makes them less accurate. Since these actions use your free hand, you use the traits for your fist attack to determine the multiple attack penalty, so your fist's agile trait applies. Therefore, you take a –4 penalty if the action is your second attack of the turn, or a –8 if it's the third."

I know the system has wonky wording for unarmed attacks, to say the least, but does Wooden Fists allows the caster to maneuver at reach?
