More evaluation tomfoolery

Sorry but just had to share some more idiocy from the evaluation process. Some insipid comments from this batch (my rebuttal, if I had the opportunity, in parenthesis):
“Focuses too much on old things, class needs to be updated” (for a world music class focused on music genres that are hundreds of years old)

“Should have more group discussions” ( after polling the class to see if they preferred group discussions or lectures. They chose lectures.).

Did you learn anything in this class? “No”(maybe because you were sleeping in class all semester!)

“Class is more about history than music, should stick to music” (kinda hard to do when 90% of the music has been affected by colonialism lol)

“Should have more group discussions/work to help us learn” (Music theory class who I told to work together and help each other out.)

And my personal favorite:
Did the professor creat an inclusive environment? “He did alright.”

90% of the feedback was positive, but the negative stuff always irks me. I really wish we could respond to these or provide our own feed back on each student! lol
