At forte harmony Homelander walks out of the radiation cell and Soldier Boy is just sitting there grieving, and the scene + later dialogue in this week's episode when SB tells him that you didn't kill me and that he owes him basically imply HL could’ve killed him on the spot.

But… how?

In S3, Soldier Boy literally goes toe-to-toe with Homelander and isn’t getting casually overpowered. He’s one of the only supes who can actually hurt him.

Now suddenly it’s like HL could just laser him in half and SB just… accepts it?

Am I missing something here or is this a straight-up inconsistency? Because that didn’t match their fight at S3
