Hi, I’m looking for a novel (standalone or saga) where the magic is actually powerful. From the few fantasy books I’ve read, magic feels a little underwhelming. It’s like a little fireball here, healing spell there… compared to manga where some spells can destroy entire cities it feels a little boring.

Basically the entire cosmere is on my list already, and once already read the bloodsworn saga and some obscure fantasy French novels.
