Hi friends. We wanted to share this clip from this weekend's Day1 conversation with Rev. Dr. Scott Rennie of the Church of Scotland.
Rev. Dr. Rennie reflects on growing up in an evangelical context, wrestling with sexuality and faith, and realizing:
“This is not about Jesus. This is about other people’s inability to live with the thing that makes me different.”
He also shares how the Church of Scotland’s long debate over LGBTQ+ inclusion eventually moved from crisis to, in his words, “really not a thing” anymore.
We thank God for Scott, his continuing ministry, and the witness he offers to Christ’s expansive love, grace, and welcome for all God’s children.
