Trying to help my dad keep more money in his pocket since he lost his employer vision plan when he retired last year so now he pays cash for exams and glasses which eats up a few hundred bucks each time. Are stand alone vision plans actually worth the monthly cost or is paying out of pocket cheaper?
I’ve been seeing spacex everywhere lately and it got me wondering how to invest in spacex as an average person. Not trying to get rich quick or anything, just curious if there’s actually a legit way to buy into it or if it’s basically locked up for big investors only.
From what I understand it’s still a private company so you can’t just buy shares like tesla or apple, but then I also hear people talk about secondary markets or pre ipo stuff. And not sure what’s real.
Has anyone here actually gone through the process or looked into it seriously? Is there even a realistic path for regular people or is the answer just wait for an ipo that may or may not happen anytime soon?
Would also be interested in hearing what alternatives people use if they want exposure to spacex indirectly.
