Rebuilt a/c compressor 2015 q50

Do I even need it? $780 for a rebuilt a/c compressor including labor, for a 2015 q50 premium 3.7L 6cyl 7A.

Brought it in today thinking it needed Freon - car still blew cool but not cold - but guy says it needs a compressor. I thought I’d get no cool air at if the compressor was done. No engine noises either.

Nervous issue with my jack russell

We found this beauty on a highway about 5 years ago. Her name is Charlotte. She can get a bit nervous & shaky but it’s only happened when we moved (hopefully not some bad memory) or fireworks which infuriates me as it’s illegal to shot them off in your backyard but you know, people and all. 🙄

This past week, my son had to move back home after being gone for 2 years. He comes by & stays over almost every week so he’s not new & he did live with us when we first got Charlotte. But the shaking is weird this time. Comes out of nowhere - my perspective, not her’s. We should be done with his moving by next Tuesday and maybe it will go away after but for now, I’d like to help her somehow.

She’s not ill. Vet says all ok. We have been moving lots of stuff around and she gets nervous so we limit it (try to do stuff while she’s in the yard playing with my other dog). But today, sitting as we do every morning, me drinking coffee while the dogs nap & my cat comes by, chasing a fly in the house and Charlotte is looking at the cat (been here longer than Charlotte & they are very comfortable together) with such a worried look & starts shaking & panting. She has that look where she’s looking side eyed at the cat but ready to jump at a moment’s notice. I hold her. She calms down a bit but she’s still nervous-ish 20 minutes later.

And this. About a week ago, we discovered a stray in our yard & put out food. I do it every day & every day, Charlotte sees her out the living room window. Yesterday, she saw her thru the gate, while the dogs were outside & the kitty was coming thru the front yard. We have 5 cats & the stray looks very similar to one of ours - could Charlotte think the stray is our cat and we’re not letting her in, forcing her to eat outside? Now that I think of it - the nervousness seems to correlate with that too but the moving & stray are happening at the same time. The cat catching the fly was not the similar looking cat but I did notice Charlotte being nervous around that cat yesterday.

Any advice on how to help her feel safe? We do give her lots of love & hugs. Maybe it’s the combo of the moving & the new cat outside? My poor girl is feeling poorly & I am at a loss.

Thanks!!
