Trailblazers - Magic / Jrue Holiday - Jalen Suggs

Portland gets a plus defender who has shown to be more of a combo guard than a point guard this season. Playing next to Dame and Scoot should let him focus more on his strengths and less on his weaknesses. They also get the swap in 27 as the contract is very negative for the price you’re paying him especially in the first 3 years of the deal.

Magic gets themselves a 2 time NBA champion to help them navigate the playoffs but also they make this trade to give Anthony Black the keys to the PG role. He has been amazing for them and moving on from Suggs opens that spot and just like Suggs Jrue Holiday is a plus defender but with veteran leadership.

With Dame returning Portland turnover problem should improve greatly. That being said they have one other major issue. The 3-ball.

Your new starting lineup is:

Dame - Suggs - Deni - KAT - Clingan

This lineup has 2 elite shooters in Dame and KAT. Good defenders in Suggs and Clingan being a good rim protector. Deni being your elite slasher and driver to the basket. KAT also offers a post game that no one else on the team has to offer.

Your bench is also much improved:

Scoot - Sharpe - Kennard - Camara - Yang

Your guard depth is a lot better than your front court depth but you can always look to make a trade come the deadline if you’re not satisfied with Yang and if you feel you need another forward you have scoot or sharpe contracts to make a deal happen.

Overall this team should at the bare minimum reach the second round but really be looking to push and go all the way.
