So uh… just a quick thought, um… am I underestimating children here?
This is from one of my replies in a post that was talking about Zeztz’s toy sales not going well, and I mentioned that one of the key reasons why is probably because children don’t like the show due to how complex the season’s overall plot was, and when someone asked me how that can affect toy sales, I said the reply you see on screen.
I basically said that kids’ minds are way too immature… or I guess….simple, and…underdeveloped, to understand, accept, or even take a dip in experimental stuff, things that are strange, new, or unfamiliar to them, because unlike us adults, their brains are, to say it in a gentle manner, pussies. They are not ready nor are willing to be ready to embrace any MAJOR drastic changes about a show they love.
Even though I still stand by to this point, a part of me wonders if I’m underestimating how a child can think, so I wanted your guys’ opinions on this.
Which of these 2 do you like more?(Design wise, fun wise, etc)
Animal Buddies, or Bananza Forms?
How did you play with Rider toys when you were young?(if you had Kamen Rider in you childhood.)
I’ll start: I was in the corner.
You see, idk if it’s still like that, but back then, kids wanted to look cool in their toys, so they wear the coolest rider belt and flex it to other children. I didn’t have any when I was young, which automatically made me the boring, uncool kid.
In the playground, kids pick a leader, the kid with the coolest toys, and he would point the finger to the corner and tell me to sit there and be ashamed of myself. So I would sit there, and watch them play, crying in envy.
In rare occasions, they make me play with them…. As a monster. They would give me a mask, and would gang up on me(which was about 5~8 children) and they would beat the ever living shit out of me for however long they wanted(luckily there weren’t serious bruises, which is surprising because it hurt like hell), and I had to accept it because I had no toys to prove myself that I’m cool nor was I actually an actual cool kid.
So yeah… that’s how I used to play…
Takahashi Rider Final Form L counts.
We are going to look at 3 final forms created by Takahashi and count their Ls(obviously we’re skipping Zeztz because he just started.)
Also when I say “L”s, I mean as in the Riders de transforming back into their civilian forms after receiving too much damage.
Ex-Aid Muteki Gamer: 0. It, alongside Blade King and Faiz Blaster, are the only (main protagonist) final forms to not receive a single L to this day.
Zero-Two: 1. During the movie…he, he received an L in the movie..
Geats: Technically 1 against Keiwa, since his second fight with Suel doesn’t really fit the “L,” description that I gave earlier, so, only one L.
Just Body language or Talking, Which way of Ultras portraying emotions do you prefer?
The ultras’ emotions were portrayed 2 ways.
- With Just Body Language.
This mostly exists in the Showa, Heisei, and BAO Trilogy, where the Ultras don’t talk that much in the battlefield, but portray emotions using body language and grunts.
- Talking.
This is where they start talking…a lot. (This can differ from season to season. )This is specifically visible during R/B and Taiga, and I guess the UGF series, where they are really expressive, especially with the non-stop talking, it really highlights their personalities really well. Especially the voice lines, those are hilarious.
So, which do you prefer?
I personally prefer them talking. Idk, if it’s just me, but I can’t always 100% understand their personalities with only body language, and it’s quite frustrating.(well, except Blazar, he’s at least slightly easier to understand.)
Edit)
Actually I guess both cases use body language, the difference being the latter is easier to understand the personalities because the voice lines better highlight the Ultra’s emotions.
Pauline is the Mario series female protagonist with the best character development, no, Pauline is one of the very, VERY few Mario series characters that has an ACTUALLY GOOD, NON-RUSHED, GRADUAL CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.
I will welcome any disagreements with open arms, because I’m a newbie when it comes to Mario, and I would like any veteran Mario fan to inject me with sweet lore.
Before you go for that downvote, this is not a genuine question from me. There is legit someone who genuinely believes the Audience from Geats are stronger than Ohma.
I want you guys to pull out whatever information you have to prove this person wrong.
He’s the first rider to fully create a planet. Not converge(Gaim), Change(Geats), merge 2 planets(Build), nor separate a merged planet(Ohma Zio), Gotchard is the first ever rider to FULLY CREATE A BRAND NEW PLANET... FROM SCRATCH….WITH JUST FAKE GOLD.
Yeah, daily reminder that a FUCKING high schooler created a whole entire fucking planet in the name of chemistry….
Holy shit, the Showa Riders are gonna have a field day interviewing Hotaro.
If anything, this is Tsuburaya’s way of saying “This year’s target audience are fans, not the kids.”
Because, in my opinion there is not a single part about this Ultra that kids would find appealing, nor understand.
I know Te-O’s backstory (that was revealed so far) is similar to Leo’s, and his fighting style is similar to Luna Cosmos, but… that was a long time ago, hell, Leo is from the Showa era, where kids were ok with blood and guts everywhere.
Children’s perspectives and mind changed vastly over that long time period, and it’s now impossible to fully understand Children’s way of thinking.
Hell, I think the reason why toy sales plummeted for the past few years is due to the experimental seasons of BAO.
No announcers, no inner-space, simpler toys, no conversations between ultra and host in said inner space(Blazar and Arc had talked with their hosts, but Blazar doesn’t know how to talk(till the end) and Yuma and Arc almost never talk to each other when transformed), no talking in Ultra form(well, less than your usual new gen), etc.
All of these unfamiliar, weird settings are vastly different from the usual environment that children are used to, and I think that kinda ticked their interest off.
Speaking of toys, now the recent toy of Te-O doesn’t give children any reason to buy them, as it doesn’t make them look cool. (Children buy toys like these, not just to play, but to show off to their friends and be proud of themselves, this toy doesn’t let them do any of that)
Idk, maybe I’m way too worried about this.
This bro is a fraud. He can’t fight. The only thing he knows how to do is spam click a move that he stole and didn’t even properly master. Like his training with Regulos didn’t do him anything.
So the Joker Dopant is originally a very simple dopant. The power is on user’s emotions, the stronger the emotions, the stronger the user becomes. It’s basically Mob from Mob Psycho 100.
However, Tokime is special, as she is a mutant with a mixture of superior genetics gifted by her unknown parents, and, thus, has natural emotion waves. It’s basically psychic waves that she can create based on the level of her emotions. And these waves are so natural yet so strong, that they even knocked down Hideo(Brachiosaurus) who also had psychic waves(unlike Tokime, he was modified into having them).
With this natural ability, she is able to do something that not even Shotaro can do, and this is what makes her one of the strongest characters in the W verse.
When the user’s emotions skyrocket, the emotions are converted into energy, and those energy are in the form of bio energy aura that covers the user. Tokime, can control, those energy auras, and can make forcefields and cards, and due to her waves, she is able to crank her base stats to 11, making her one of the most broken Dopants out there.
I mean, literally, her very first fight was against 12 Taboo dopants, she sweeped, did with sever other dozen gold tier dopants, when par on par with her twin brother, Yukiji(Aurora), and even after her memory was limited to 1/3rd by Philip(which doesn’t help because the memory is unstable), she fought against Aurora, Brachio, and Reactor 2nd, alongside an entire army of Roads, by herself, burned the entire other Fuuto, and tanked Bomb, one of the other Heavy Hitter Dopants.
With her currently kidnapped and being fully converged into kidnapping, she’s gonna be a problem. A major problem. Because, even in her current state, dare I say, she’s stronger than W, and who knows, Bando might replace her nerfed one with a fresh new Joker memory, which…. If that happens… you just have to pray that Shotaro talks her out of it.
A man who has 2000 years worth of battle experience ingrained into his body vs a man who’s considered as the best martial artist in KR.
So, currently, in the Korean Market, Taiga is the only one skipped.
Since last year or so, the 6 year hiatus stopped, and us Koreans started to get flooded with Dub projects. Ugf 123, Z, Trigger, Decker, Omega, and Teos.
(From what it looks like, Teos is gonna air alongside Decker in Korea.)
Now, Taiga was skipped. If the Korean market decides to dub Arc and Blazar as well, then that would mean that Taiga is the only New Gen Ultra season to be skipped dubbing.(this is because the hiatus happened after the end of R/B’s dubbing.)
What is funny is that the Korean Voice cast for the Tri Squad exists. It was in Ugf 2&3 and they were great, so it sucks that Taiga might never see the day of Korean Dub….
Daily reminder that Tokime was able to limit Bomb Dopant’s self destruct that could have wiped out the entire Fuuto City, the same Dopant that was able to critically damage W with his pinkie joints and had W running away in fear when he charged up his fist.
If she hadn’t done that, the Fuuto City(or whatever’s left of it) would’ve been gone forever. She was able to use her energy aura to limit the explosion range to only 1km.
Also forgot to mention that she did this with only 1/3rd of her power.
