Thoughts on Tony Attwood? Recommendations for deep books?
Has anyone read "The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome" by Tony Attwood? Any thoughts/reviews?
Since getting diagnosed this year at 30 I am struggling to find books I can relate to. It all seems so rudimentary and I want the "next step." I haven't had much luck reading Sol Smith or Devon Price.
I'd love to hear opinions about this book, Attwood, and any other recommendations for someone who is late-diagnosed, high-masking, and desperate to understand themselves.
Like, I don't need someone to tell me to wear noise-canceling headphones and explain the double-empathy problem to me for the hundredth time. I want to dig in. I want depth. I want something that assumes I'm intelligent and have already done the foundational research.
