I've recently decided to drop the thousand-something dollars on a new noise reduction headset. I work with a lot of military aviators and they say Dave Clark's are definitely the way to go. But, my (civilian) CFI friends all use Bose and swear they're the best. Would you mind chiming in with your recommendation?

Edit: I'm not a professional pilot (and will never be), I just have access to single and multi-engine Diamonds, with an occasional T-40 or 172 ride now and then. I fly a couple of times a week, and thought it was time to dump my "trainer" headset for something more comfortable and with noise cancellation.
