Normally I don't like state park camping, but this one is right next to Lake Michigan, and I wanted to get the early morning light off the lake without getting up super early or staying at a hotel. Unfortunately, the lighting wasn't great the two days I was there.
This is a very nice state park, as state parks go. I was hanging with my Dream Sparrow and took the winter tarp (WB Superfly) for extra privacy. Night time temps were about 40F, and it was a lot cooler by the lake than it is inland.
I forgot my stakes, but had a hatchet with me (which I wouldn't take backpacking), and so I was able to make do with some twigs.
