Hi all,

We’re a family of 6 planning a one-year overland trip and are looking for a rooftop tent that can sleep 4 people.

Our van is already about 2.70 m (8.9 ft) tall, so with a rooftop tent we’d end up close to 3 m total height.

Do any of you run rooftop tents on high-roof vans like a Sprinter, Crafter, or similar?

How practical is it in real life (ladder, setup, kids, annex, daily use)? Any specific tent models you’d recommend—or setups you’d avoid?

At the moment, Roof Space 4 seems like one of the few promising options.
