How does Tone3000 / NAM make money?
Just what the title says. We have access to this free, open-source software with user-created captures that you can run on all major OSes. Runs on a Raspberry Pi. Some pedals have it. Now with A2 coming out, the press release is stating that Tone3000 is 'fully funding the development of A2' and I can't help but wonder why and how?
I guess it comes down to the fact that a lot of the time, if it is free to use, then the product is not the service - the product is the USERS. Like if we use Facebook, they will run ads or sell our info or whatever. So how is this sustainable for Tone3000? It really seems like it's too good to be true.
