Emergency School Removal/ hearing
First post here so hopefully I follow all the rules, sorry in advance if this is stupid.
Ok, so my child was removed from school on Wednesday 5/6 for having something in school that he shouldn’t have. We got a call saying to pick him up and he wouldn’t be able to leave without a parent. Upon pick up they said someone will call to set up having a meeting with the Principal before he could return. Thursday they called and said the meeting will be Tuesday 5/12 and they sent an email about the situation and meeting.
From what I’ve found online, per the M.G.L. c.71 ss 37h. The principal should have scheduled this hearing within two days of the emergency removal not four. Which I believe my child’s due process rights may have been violated in accordance with 603 CMR 53.07 I live in Mass by the way. Thoughts?
