Mechanical Dragonfly by MJ. A very fun build and great display piece that might require a little bit of glue.

I picked this beauty up from AliExpress for a very very good price, probably the cheapest one yet. The instructions were okay, standard for MJ, there were no missing pieces, and no decals, all printed parts. The build was fun, quite a bit easier than some of the more complicated MJ builds. If you look closely in the video you will see that a piece falls off a few seconds in. I had to glue a few pieces on this one, in particular the wings, and those 1x2 Technic pieces (the one flying off) other than that I'd give this one top marks. Highly recommended, especially for the price.

I just picked these beauties up last night, and thought I would share. I promise I don't work for MJ and didn't get any freebies, just wanted to share the love. ❤️

Ninjago City Markets light kit by Game of Bricks. Reasonably priced and decent quality.

So as part of a larger project I'm doing involving the Lumibricks cyberpunk neon City and Ninjago City sets I've been lighting my Ninjago City sets. This one I got from Game of Bricks, is very nice, it looks a lot better in person though. It took about 5 or 6 hours to install, although I take my time so it might take you less. There were a couple of frustrating parts, but mostly it went very smoothly. My only real gripe is the lights they use for the blue lamps. The way they have you installing them makes it very easy to break the cord. There's one out there that looks better but it costs $200 😱 which if I'm not mistaken is about how much the actual Lego set costs. This one I got on sale for $50, although I think it goes for $60 normally. In my opinion it was definitely worth it, I definitely recommend it. I'm currently working on the Ninjago City Workshop light kit from a different company, if interest is high I will let you all know how it goes.

Mechanical Lion by MJ, A great set with some minor flaws and a few missing pieces.

I got this 1,073 piece beauty from AliExpress for a very good price, complete with a good motor that takes six aa batteries. The build was okay, a bit frustrating at times. Getting the gait correct is very challenging, along with getting the rear legs to work properly. I counted at least six missing pieces which is very surprising considering the MJ sets have always been good about that in fact this is the first one I've seen that had any missing pieces, and the set actually goes include a bunch of extra pieces, just none of the pieces that are actually missing 🤪. The pins are kind of a loose fit which is a little bit of a problem with the head, it likes to fall off... A lot... I actually had to use the tissue trick on the pins to get them to stick properly which was difficult to do in this situation, I would actually recommend glue. This is also the first MJ set I've seen with decals (absolutely no printed parts). Despite its minor flaws, and mediocre frustrations it was actually a decent build, and I love it as a display piece. I don't really care for the back legs a whole lot, but the rest of it's pretty cool, definitely recommended especially for the price.
