Question about file compression
Hello everyone! My situation is the following; I have a windows PC, a Mac and two iPhones from which I upload photos and videos to the Synology(218j). Basically, I am mainly using it only for backing up files. I have photo backups enabled on both my iPhones on the Photos app (I have the feature that compresses files when transferring toggled OFF on both iPhones). My main problem is that when I, let’s say, want to upload a video from my iPhone to my NAS, the video on my phone is 1.5GB, but on the NAS it is 554MB, but when I download it on my Mac it is back to being 1.5GB. Same with some photos that are uploaded from iPhone. As far as I can tell, this doesn’t happen when uploading from windows PC( using WinSCP). Can someone please help me troubleshoot this?
