[Hiring] Short-Form Video Editor for TikToks / Reels (Long-term, Remote)

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for a creative, hungry, and reliable short-form video editor to join my workflow long-term. I will be providing the raw recorded videos/talking head content, and your job will be to turn them into engaging TikToks and Instagram Reels.

What the job involves:

  • Engaging Captions: Clean, dynamic, and synchronized text overlays (dynamic styling, emojis, and highlighting key words to keep viewers locked in).
  • Smooth Transitions & Pacing: Cutting out dead air, adding seamless transitions, and keeping the video moving fast.
  • Visual Retention Tricks: Adding relevant B-roll, zooms, sound effects, and simple graphics where necessary to maintain high watch time.

Requirements:

  • Experience editing short-form content specifically optimized for TikTok/Reels algorithms (understanding retention hooks is a massive plus).
  • Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Access to stable internet and editing software (Premiere Pro, CapCut Pro, DaVinci, etc.).

Rate & Budget:

  • This will start as a paid test edit (fully paid) to see if our styles align.
  • Budget: [$5 - $15] per completed video (Note: Adjust this range to your exact budget) or a competitive hourly rate depending on experience. Looking for affordable, high-quality talent open to consistent, long-term work.

How to Apply: Please send me a DM (or chat) with the following:

  1. A link to your portfolio or 2–3 examples of short-form videos you’ve edited (TikTok/Reels format only).
  2. What editing software you use.
  3. Your rate per video or hourly rate.

Please do not just say "Hey, I'm interested." Send examples right away so I can review them. Looking forward to working together!

I’ve been experimenting with flipping used car parts this past month and started tracking what actually moves vs what just sits.

Here’s what surprised me:

Fastest selling parts:

• Toyota/Honda alternators

• OEM headlights (especially SUVs)

• Side mirrors

• Tail lights

• Truck bed accessories

What DOESN’T move fast:

• Seats

• Random interior trim

• Older navigation units

• Base model wheels

Big realization:

Condition matters less than PART DEMAND.

A scratched OEM headlight still sells faster than a perfect low-demand part.

Most profitable pattern I noticed:

Find common cars that recently got totaled

Pull parts people break often

List same day

Curious what parts flips have worked best for you guys?
