Which career fields will be in high demand in the future?

Hey guys.

I desperately need some advice because I'm losing my mind trying to figure out my future.

I am a dropper for jee and honestly, the burnout is so bad that, Pehle dream college hua karta tha, ab college jana hi dream ban chuka hai.

I just want to get into a college and move on with my life at this point.

The plan was obviously BTech, but everyone keeps saying the market is totally crashed, recession is bad, and Al is taking over entry level tech jobs. So I got scared and looked into other options.

I checked out BA in Journalism and Mass Communication, but people are saying the exact same thing there too that nobody knows what the scene will look like in 5 years.

Literally every field I look into, people tell me it's dead or risky. I am so confused and stuck right now.

Can anyone please tell me what career options are actually safe or going to boom in the future? If you're doing something other than BTech or know about fields that actually have good scope and stability, please share.

Any guidance would mean the world to me.

Need college & career advice for journalism and mass communication.

Hey guys,

I’m a JEE dropper and honestly, I’ve decided not to pursue Btech anymore. I am completely burnt out after this drop year. Plus, looking at the insane fees of private engineering colleges, the constant tech layoffs, and how hard it is for freshers to get a decent job right now, the ROI just doesn't seem worth it. I am totally DONE with it.

I’m exploring other career options that can still land me high-paying jobs, and I’ve found a genuine interest in Journalism and Mass Communication.

I really need a reality check about this field from seniors or people working in the industry:

  1. What is the 5-10 year outlook? I know entry-level media jobs might not pay a lot, but is there good money in the long run? How is the scope if I pivot into corporate PR, advertising, or digital marketing later on?

  2. What kind of salary can I expect? What is a realistic starting package vs. what can you make after 5 to 10 years of experience?

Please suggest some colleges.

I want a college that focuses way more on practical work (studios, hands-on projects) rather than just mugging up theory. Good placement and decent ROI are a must. Location is not an issue for me.

I looked into Christ University Bangalore and SRM KTR. But I don't want to prepare for another stressful entrance exam.

Are there other good colleges out there that give admission directly based on 12th marks or just a basic interview?

Please help me I am feeling completely lost.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a decent private university for B.Tech CSE. My JEE score is very low, so I'm looking for colleges that offer admission based on boards or their own entrance/direct admission.

My Requirements:

•Budget: Max 14-15 Lakhs (including Tuition + Hostel + Mess).

•Priorities: Good Placements (Actual data, not fake ads), Decent Faculty, good ROI, decent clg life.

I have checked IILM University but reviews look biased/paid. Can anyone share honest reviews of IILM or suggest any others college that fit my budget and provide a decent college life?

Specifically looking for insights from seniors currently studying there. Thanks!

Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking for backup options for my BTech CSE, and I’m considering JECRC University (JU) since I'm feeling a bit uncertain about getting admissions elsewhere. However, I’ve been seeing a lot of mixed reviews on this sub that are making me second-guess my decision.

I have a few specific concerns and would really appreciate some honest guidance:

•Total Cost: I’ve heard rumors that once you include "hidden charges," the total fee for the 4-year course can touch 20 Lakhs. This is way beyond my budget. Can any current students confirm what the actual total expenditure looks like?

•ROI (Placements): Most reports I see mention average packages between 3.5 LPA to 6 LPA. Is it worth investing a high fee for these placements, or are there better opportunities for CSE students there?

•Deadlines: Does anyone know the last date to fill out the application form for this session?

Direct Admission: Is it possible to get admission without filling out the online application form or is the form mandatory?

I’m really confused if I should spend the money on the application form or look for other backups. Please help.
