I’m honestly fed up with this YouTube situation.
I run a Shorts channel with 23k+ subscribers, and for the longest time around 35% of my audience came from the USA. But suddenly everything has shifted — now India has taken the top spot and the USA has dropped to second. Ever since that happened, my views, subscriber growth, and especially revenue have all taken a hit.
My content is completely in English, and I specifically built the channel around a US audience. The only major thing that changed recently is YouTube’s auto-dubbing feature. I’ve noticed videos I watch through this channel are being auto-dubbed, and ever since that started, the entire channel’s audience dynamics seem broken.
I genuinely don’t understand what triggered this shift or how to stop YouTube from pushing my content heavily toward Indian audiences. Has anyone else experienced this?
