3 years ago I caused an Aeroplane toilet to be out-of-order...
Pretty much what it says on the tin. I was on a flight back from Thailand and I was really ill - like it was coming out of both ends and I was sweating so much the toilet seat was slippery.
Anyway, I was stuck on the toilet and being sick into one of those crappy little bags. At some point though I filled up that bag and still needed to be sick, so not knowing what to do I started barfing into the sink. Because it was so chunky I accidentally blocked the sink, but by that point I'd finally finished being sick.
When I managed get out of the toilet I immediately told one of the plane staff. She looked at me like I was a complete freak and questioned me about why I used the sink, and why didn't I use a bag. I showed her the full sick bag and at the same time asked wtf am I suppose to do with a full bag of puke.
At this point she told me to do the obvious thing - pour it down the toilet. I wish I'd thought of that in the moment, fill the bag, pour down the toilet, repeat. Instead I f#cked up the toilet and they had to close it.
I feel really bad about it but also I was so sick I felt like my judgement was impaired at the time. I hate the fact I cause someone else to have to clean that up, and I wonder if it may have caused a flught delay.
I really hope none of sick poured out of the sink when we landed...
